behind the scenes:
Andrà Tutto Bene
(Everything Will be Okay)
mini quilt

Andrà Tutto Bene (Everything Will Be Okay in English) is a free foundation paper piecing pattern (FPP) and was inspired by the words and beautiful artwork created by children in Italy during the Covid19 pandemic in 2020. While children and their families in Italy were quarantined in their homes, many displayed rainbow-themed banners and posters featuring the phrase "Andrà Tutto Bene" to send messages of hope and positivity. We encourage you to make this mini quilt to display in the window of your own home or sewing space. Make one for yourself, for a friend, or even for your local quilt shop. Share hope.

With pins, practice, and a little patience, you'll learn to sew beautiful curves in Piecing Curves with Confidence. Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill, our award-winning instructor, will walk you through all the skills you need to get started including preparing fabric, using templates, cutting curves, pinning, piecing, and even quilting curves. Curves aren’t as dangerous as you might think, they just take a little finesse. By the end, you’ll even be inspired to discover and create your own curved quilting designs. With the basic quarter circle, or Drunkard's Path, block under your belt, you can use your new skills to try elongated curves, flowering snowballs, and so much more. Soon, you’ll be cutting and sewing curves like a champion!
