Today is a big day! QuiltCon 2017 kicks off AND I finally get to share the first part of a big project I’ve been working on for a while! It’s been really difficult to NOT share progress photos on social media or this blog.
I’m incredibly excited and honored to reveal 270 Colors, a quilt I designed and created for Aurifil to commemorate and celebrate their tenth anniversary in the United States this year. The quilt features all 270 current colors of Aurifil’s 50wt thread! 270 Colors debuts today in Aurifil’s QuiltCon 2017 booth.
I documented the entire design and production process (including a video clip of the free motion quilting process) and wrote a guest post describing how I created the quilt from start to finish. You can find it here on Aurifil’s blog, Auribuzz.
