Typecast Inspiration

Typecast is a tribute to my love of typography. I have fond memories of my early undergraduate graphic design classes and tracing typefaces. While it certainly would have been quicker to use the computer, my professors knew students would gain a greater appreciation for typeface design by drawing characters by hand. Later, I had an opportunity to design my own typefaces in advanced Typography classes.

Use Typecast repeatedly to customize your own projects. The possibilities are endless!

STEP 1:
Get a Typecast 9″ Alphabet Paper Piece pack. You can reuse them over and over again until the paper becomes weak. 
Purchase a Complete Paper Pack + Pattern Guide here available through my shop—everything you need to make all 26 letters.

 

STEP 2:
Gather up your tools and supplies. Here is a list of my favorite EPP tools and supplies.

 

STEP 3:
Kick back and start sewing!

 

(optional, not required) Use the Typecast Acrylic Templates (sold separately through paperpieces.com) and a rotary cutter to cut your fabric. Acrylic templates are super handy when you want to fussy cut, or select certain areas to use from a fabric. If you like to be efficient with your fabric cuts and prefer your seam allowances to be precise, acrylic templates are the perfect tool! The Typecast Acrylic Template set includes all 55 shapes needed to make all 26 alphabet letters.
