In the Studio Episode 4: Fabric Design from Quilts

The latest episode of In the Studio is here! In this video update, I’m sharing a little about my approach to turning my quilt designs into fabric design.

About three years ago, I started exploring ways to design fabric, without going the traditional route of designing a fabric collection for a fabric manufactuer. Instead, I began producing small batches of custom fabric featuring photographs of my own quilts and stitched work. I include this fabric in my zipper pouch and tote bag kits, giving makers another way to enjoy my designs in a smaller, quicker project.

In the episode, I also share a little about an upcoming Sew Brimfield retreat, a special foundation paper piecing project I designed for the Sewlebrity day, and my plans for attending my first sewing retreat as a participant!
